Remove Write protection from pen drive

        There is an easy way to Remove Write protection from pen drive. Using the following steps:

        Step 1 » Click Start>All Programs>Accessories

        Step 2 » Right click on Command Prompt>Run as Administrator

        Step 3 » Type ‘diskpart' and press Enter to start the built in Windows disk partitioning utility

        Step 4 » Type 'list disk' and press Enter. Identify your USB Flash drive and make a note of the disk number. Here in this example, My USB flash drive is Disk 1.

        Step 5 » Type 'select disk 1' and press Enter.

        Step 6 » Type ’attributes disk clear readonly’ (or to set read only use this command - ‘attributes disk set readonly’)

        Step 7 » Type exit to exit the diskpart utility.
