Convert video file format using VLC player

 
        Today most people’s using various devices like pc laptop android mac etc and it is possible that all devices doesn’t supported same type video file like cam recorded file or others. To overcome this problem many users using free software which are available on internet but all these software need to install some toolbar or unwanted program in your device. Some people know that with using vlc player we can change video format of a file. Here i will explain with screenshots how to do this follow these steps to learn.

         Step 1 » Open vlc media player and click on media tab. Under the submenu of media tab click on the “convert/save...” option as shown in picture below.

        Step 2 » After doing first step a window will open like shown below. In this window just click on add button which is displayed by red arrow mark.

        Step 3 » After doing step 2 a window will Open to select the source file, just select the desired source video file and click on open.

        Step 4 » After open the source file, the selected file will display in the next screen. Here just click on convert/save button at the bottom of the window marked here by red arrow. Then you will see the next window.

        Step 5 » Then click on browse on the next screen to select the target file.

        Step 6 » Select the destination folder and name the file which is required to save after conversion with desired extension like shaadi.flv here for example. You also save .ps, .ts, .mpg, .ogg, .asf, .mp4, .mov, .wav, .raw, .flv, .webm extensions. Then click save button.

        Step 7 » In next window you will see the source file and destination file with full path in your system. If both are correct then just click on start button as shown here by red arrow mark below.

        Step 8 » If you see the streaming in your vlc media player window it means you have done all things well and after completing the streaming you will get saved file in the destination folder.
